| And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. | And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. |
| How happy is the one whom God reproves; therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. | Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. |

| “Ananias,” Peter asked, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds at your disposal? How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You did not lie to us but to God!” | But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. |
| God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him. | In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. |
| We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another. | Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. |
| Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? | Happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways. | Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. |
| Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. | After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. |
| For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do. | For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. |

| Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.” | Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. |
| See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. | Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. |
| Fine speech is not becoming to a fool; still less is false speech to a ruler. | Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince. |

| Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord, who greatly delight in his commandments. | Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. |
| Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have. | Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. |
| And he said to them, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.” | And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. |
