- Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,

as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water. - I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
- And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
- How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house.
- O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
- So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
- You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved,
for you are my praise. - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
