Chinese (traditional)- O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - I, I am he who comforts you;
why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die,
a human being who fades like grass? - I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - Where can I go from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. - Because you are precious in my sight,
and honored, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. - For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.
- Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
- Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not hide my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah - Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and just as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. Only, you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
- I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.
- Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
- I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous ordinances. - I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- I did not shrink from doing anything helpful, proclaiming the message to you and teaching you publicly and from house to house.
- O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you, I will praise your name;
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
- Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you.
- So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
- I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved;
for you are my praise. - I tell you, on the day of judgment you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter.
Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last. Pursue peace with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.Next verse!With image
