  • If you love me,
    you will keep my commandments.
  • This is how everyone will know
    that you are my disciples:
    if you love one another.
  • But I say to you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
  • If you keep my commandments,
    you will remain in my love,
    just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
    and remain in his love.

  • But if you seek the Lord, your God, and you strive with all your heart and your soul, you will find him there.
  • You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
  • Everything that you do should be done in love.
  • Jesus replied, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
  • Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.
  • This is my commandment:
    love one another
    as I have loved you.
  • If you would seriously consider my reproof,
    I would pour out my thoughts to you
    and make my precepts known to you.

  • But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

    Where I am,
    there also will my servant be.

  • Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well.

  • Yet even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are thereby blessed. Have no fear of others, and refuse to be intimidated by them.
  • In much the same manner
    will wisdom be sweet to your soul.
    If you find it, you will have a future,
    and your hope will not be cut off.
  • Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with a joy that is indescribable and glorious. For you are achieving the goal of your faith, that is, the salvation of your souls.
  • You are all-beautiful, my love,
    without the slightest blemish.
  • When you call out to me and come forth and pray to me, I will listen to you.
  • Examine me, O God, and know my heart;
    test me and understand my thoughts.
    See if I follow an evil way,
    and guide me on the way to eternity.
