- He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
- He reveals deep and hidden mysteries
and knows what lies in the darkness,
for light dwells with him. - If we claim that we have fellowship with him
while we continue to live in darkness,
we are lying and do not live in the truth. - While Peter was thus imprisoned, the Church prayed fervently to God for him.
- Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.
- For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world
but in order that the world might be saved through him. - A gift opens doors for the giver
and wins him access to the powerful. - Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares about you.
- Rather, grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for all eternity. Amen. - But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- But if you seek the Lord, your God, and you strive with all your heart and your soul, you will find him there.
- God’s love was revealed to us in this way:
God sent his only-begotten Son into the world
so that we might have life through him. - Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.”
- For us there is
one God, the Father,
from whom all things are
and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things are
and through whom we exist. - Can someone hide in a secret place
so that I cannot see him?
Do I not fill heaven and earth? - Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul.
- Why are you so disheartened, O my soul?
Why do you sigh within me?
Place your hope in God;
for I will once again praise him,
my Savior and my God. - And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
- In my anguish I cried out to the Lord
and called to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. - Trust wholeheartedly in the Lord
rather than relying on your own intelligence.
In everything you do, acknowledge him,
and he will see that your paths are straight. - Blessed are those who observe his statutes
and seek him with their whole heart. - No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.
- Sing to God, sing praise to his name;
exalt him who rides upon the clouds.
Rejoice in the presence of this God
whose name is the Lord.
The Father of orphans and the defender of widows:
such is God in his holy dwelling place. - For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe.
