| For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. | I lifted up my voice in prayer to him; his praise was on my tongue. |
| But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him. | While Peter was thus imprisoned, the Church prayed fervently to God for him. |
| Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. | It is the Lord, your God, whom you are to follow. You must fear him and observe his commandments and obey what he tells you and serve him and hold fast to him. |

| I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death. | All I want is to come to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and to share in his sufferings by becoming conformed to his death. |
| Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. | All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us. |

| Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? | He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him? |
| But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul. | Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul. |
| Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. | Every word of God has proved to be true; he is a shield to those who trust in him. |
