| For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin. | For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. |

| And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him. | And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. |
| If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true. | If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. |
| Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” | Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. |

| Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? | I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death. | That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. |
| Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way. | And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. |
| Take good care to observe the commandment and instruction that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, and to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. | But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. |
