Bible Verses about 'Iniquity'

  • Then I acknowledged my sin to you
    and did not cover up my iniquity.
    I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”
    And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
  • Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.
  • Direct my footsteps according to your word;
    let no sin rule over me.
  • Have mercy on me, O God,
    according to your unfailing love;
    according to your great compassion
    blot out my transgressions.
    Wash away all my iniquity
    and cleanse me from my sin.
  • Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
  • The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless,
    but it is the ruin of those who do evil.
  • Who is a God like you,
    who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
    of the remnant of his inheritance?
    You do not stay angry forever
    but delight to show mercy.
  • If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible.
  • Take words with you
    and return to the Lord.
    Say to him:
    “Forgive all our sins
    and receive us graciously,
    that we may offer the fruit of our lips.”
  • Now let the fear of the Lord be on you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.
  • He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
    and all his ways are just.
    A faithful God who does no wrong,
    upright and just is he.
  • We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
  • Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
  • But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
    the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed.
  • Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

Bible verse of the day

Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy.
