- Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
- But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being.
- And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”
- While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
- But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- He said to them, “Then do you also fail to understand? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile,
since it enters, not the heart but the stomach, and goes out into the sewer?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.) - Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
- God is faithful; by him you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last.
- Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- And do not bring us to the time of trial,
but rescue us from the evil one. - God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
- The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels;
they go down into the inner parts of the body. - I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.
- He will again have compassion upon us;
he will tread our iniquities under foot.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea. - For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
- For we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.
- May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
- Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
- For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
- The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous run into it and are safe. - But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
