- And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.

is one who lacks self-control. - It is you who light my lamp;
the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. - Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they were over, he was famished.
- Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.

“This at last is bone of my bones

Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh. - Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.
