- The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot. - As in water face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals the man. - Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken. - Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But violence covers the mouth of the wicked. - For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
- Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
- The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. - But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
- But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”
- He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints. - To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
