- Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
- For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
- The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. - He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints. - To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path. - For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
- For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
- So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
- The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works. - For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. - This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
- Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth,
Who have upheld His justice.
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
It may be that you will be hidden
In the day of the Lord’s anger. - “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
“On the day that I make them My jewels.
And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.” - Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
- Who is wise?
Let him understand these things.
Who is prudent?
Let him know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right;
The righteous walk in them,
But transgressors stumble in them. - So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
- As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him. - May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us.
- There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
- The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.
- But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
