Let your light shine (3/4)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.
But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice, an endless river of righteous living.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.
Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, and in this way announce God’s light to Jews and Gentiles alike.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day. That is why I can never stop praising you; I declare your glory all day long.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you!
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.”
Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
