Bible Verses about 'Little'

Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest.Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues with injustice.
So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
Better to have little, with fear for the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil.Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh, than great treasure with trouble.
Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”Then Jesus said, “I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.”
Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow.
It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly.Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh upholds the righteous.
The words of the godly are like sterling silver; the heart of a fool is worthless. The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth.
Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame. Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”And said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one will be great.”
I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel, whose origins are in the distant past, will come from you on my behalf. But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times.
“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field.Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.
Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come.
Evil people get rich for the moment, but the reward of the godly will last.Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
