- Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved. - Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun. - Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
- Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all. - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

with eternal pleasures at your right hand. - The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights. - For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
- It is a trap to dedicate something rashly
and only later to consider one’s vows. - Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
- Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.
- And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
- I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because Abraham obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands, my decrees and my instructions.
- Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
- And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
- But I, with shouts of grateful praise,
will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good.
I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’ - To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
- A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—
and how good is a timely word! - But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.Next verse!With image
