A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows.
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.

A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
