- I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
- He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
- Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding. - Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto according to thy word. - O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
- Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
- Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
- For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
- Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. - A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. - So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
- And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
- And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

- A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
- Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
- Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. - It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man.
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death.For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.Next verse!With image
