- How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word. - The fear of man proves to be a snare,
but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe. - Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come.
- Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good.
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
- Like water reflects a face,
so a man’s heart reflects the man. - He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again?
- Iron sharpens iron;
so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance. - For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
- But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.
- You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you.
- But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’”
- A perverse man stirs up strife.
A whisperer separates close friends. - For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
- A fool vents all of his anger,
but a wise man brings himself under control. - There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. - So that with good courage we say,
“The Lord is my helper. I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - Before destruction the heart of man is proud,
but before honor is humility. - It is better to take refuge in Yahweh,
than to put confidence in man. - Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
- He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth.
- If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; or ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it. For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
- The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
- He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
- For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit.
