- These you may eat of everything that is in the water: anything that has fins and scales you may eat, but anything that does not have fins and scales, you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.

- And like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.
- Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time.

So that all the ends of the earth may fear Him. - These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
- My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the Lord your God gives you.
- For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning. - Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all!
- Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.
- And I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
- May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us;
And confirm for us the work of our hands;
Yes, confirm the work of our hands. - That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
- So you shall keep His statutes and His commandments which I am giving you today, so that it may go well for you and for your children after you, and that you may live long on the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
- Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.
- Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus.
- And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you.
- Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming.
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
- Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.
- I have treasured Your word in my heart,
So that I may not sin against You. - “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,
But My favor will not be removed from you,
Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,”
Says the Lord who has compassion on you. - I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
- Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.
- These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.
- That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- Be exalted above the heavens, God;
May Your glory be above all the earth. - I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever.
- Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - Be exalted above the heavens, God,
And may Your glory be above all the earth. - Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.
- That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
- For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
- Now no one lights a lamp and covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see the light.
