| Rescue me, O Lord, from liars and from all deceitful people. | Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. |
| But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life. | By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. |

| You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. | Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today. |

| So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” | So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” |
| If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him! | If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him. |
| Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. | See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work. |
| But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! | If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. |
| Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.” | He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” |
| Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. | I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. |
| As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. | But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive! | But surely, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life. |

My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. | But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. |
| Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” | Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!” |
