- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time.
- For a child has been born for us,
a son given to us;
authority rests upon his shoulders;
and he is named
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. - One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,

a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness,
he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing. - When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.

let this be known in all the earth. - Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,

Give thanks to the Lord,
call on his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted. - I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death.

and will be with the last. - Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm;

for the living God.
