- I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death.
- In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I am not afraid;
what can flesh do to me? - For there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human.
- Who has performed and done this,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am first,
and will be with the last. - If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
- But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
- So God created humankind in his image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
- For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.
- Yet I have been the Lord your God
ever since the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm;
for love is strong as death,
passion fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
a raging flame. - Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases. - So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
