- Observe the sabbath day and keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, or your son or your daughter, or your male or female slave, or your ox or your donkey, or any of your livestock, or the resident alien in your towns, so that your male and female slave may rest as well as you.
- Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.
- I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father's hand. The Father and I are one.
- Therefore you are great, O Lord God; for there is no one like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- My child, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves the one he loves,

for you delighted in them. - Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
- I had eaten no rich food, no meat or wine had entered my mouth, and I had not anointed myself at all, for the full three weeks.
- Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”
- I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.
- Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.
- You shall not make gods of silver alongside me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
- Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away
from the words of my mouth. - Nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known.
- Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- There is no Holy One like the Lord,
no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God. - Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil.
- No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world.
- I have not departed from the commandment of his lips;
I have treasured in my bosom the words of his mouth. - Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
