- As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me;
your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me! - For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him. - To you, O God of my fathers,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
for you have made known to us the king's matter. - Therefore you are great, O Lord God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

one who is to be ruler in Israel,
whose coming forth is from of old,
from ancient days. - Salvation belongs to the Lord;
your blessing be on your people! Selah - I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. - O you who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the lives of his saints;
he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever. - Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! - For it is you who light my lamp;
the Lord my God lightens my darkness. - Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples! - Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever! - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - Return, faithless Israel,
declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
declares the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
- Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
- Oh, how abundant is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you
and worked for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of the children of mankind! - Hear, my son, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
