Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
righteous and having salvation is he,
humble and mounted on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name. - Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. - But you, O Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures to all generations. - Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
- Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love,
for they have been from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
according to your steadfast love remember me,
for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my pleas for mercy!
In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! - But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and atone for our sins,
for your name's sake! - For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin! - The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations. - O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar. - And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. - O Lord, all my longing is before you;
my sighing is not hidden from you. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;
hold not your peace at my tears!
For I am a sojourner with you,
a guest, like all my fathers. - O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water. - Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting! - In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and remembrance
are the desire of our soul.
