- Cast your cares on the Lord
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken. - For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
- This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. - I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue. - “Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Blessings crown the head of the righteous,
but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. - But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
- And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
- Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you. - Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
- Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
- Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
- He declared to you his covenant, the Ten Commandments, which he commanded you to follow and then wrote them on two stone tablets.
- So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
- Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.
- When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground. - The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”
- Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
