- Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
- Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
- For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
- For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
- May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
- One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
- No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
- As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another. - Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
- All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal. - “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
- Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

and to revive the heart of the contrite.” - The one who gets wisdom loves life;
the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper. - Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
- If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
- Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
- However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
