The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?” He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need? In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions.” Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”One Sabbath he was going through the grainfields, and as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. And the Pharisees were saying to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” And he said to them, “Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God, in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those who were with him?” And he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
