| But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. | But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. |

| For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. | For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. |
| My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. | In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. |
