- But I will sing of your strength,
in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out! - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
- One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - Children’s children are a crown to the aged,
and parents are the pride of their children. - Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
- He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
- The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.
- For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
- What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them? - May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers. - Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”
- Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
- As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things. - The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless,
but it is the ruin of those who do evil. - In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love. - Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.” Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.Next verse!With image
