| Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. | For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. | What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. | Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. |
| Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. | Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. |
| May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. | God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. |
| On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.” The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?” When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing. | And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. |
| Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. | He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. |
| Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. | Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. |
| Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” | And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. |
| The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.” | And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. |
| And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
| They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” | And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. |
| I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. | I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. |
