- And I will walk at liberty:
for I seek thy precepts. - I made haste, and delayed not
to keep thy commandments. - I will never forget thy precepts:
for with them thou hast quickened me. - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever:
for they are the rejoicing of my heart. - Thou art my hiding place and my shield:
I hope in thy word. - The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple. - Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. - Thy word is true from the beginning:
and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. - Great peace have they which love thy law:
and nothing shall offend them. - Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth. - He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber. - The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in
from this time forth, and even for evermore. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. - Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord;
that walketh in his ways. - Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications. - I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity! - The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,
thou understandest my thought afar off. - For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. - Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. - For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well.
Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry.
