- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
He brings low and lifts up. - The rich rules over the poor,
And the borrower is servant to the lender. - The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,

Because of your own understanding, cease! - Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.

And fills the hungry soul with goodness. - How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word. - In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

- Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy. - Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor. - I will be glad and rejoice in You;

And with the firstfruits of all your increase. - One who turns away his ear from hearing the law,

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the Lord upholds the righteous.
