In that day it shall be—
“The Lord is one,”
And His name one. - So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- Go, eat your bread with joy,
And drink your wine with a merry heart;
For God has already accepted your works. - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- Help us, O God of our salvation,
For the glory of Your name;
And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins,
For Your name’s sake! - For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts. - The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow;
But the way of the wicked He turns upside down. - While you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.
- Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
- We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.
- And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
- The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
- And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
