- Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
- “Can anyone hide from me in a secret place?
Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?”
says the Lord. - Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”
- Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
- I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!” - As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
- Now this is what the Lord says to the family of Israel:
“Come back to me and live!” - O Israel, my faithless people,
come home to me again,
for I am merciful.
I will not be angry with you forever. - Therefore, tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No more delay! I will now do everything I have threatened. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’
- “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” - Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
- He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!”
Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! - Don’t be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.’
- Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
- Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”
- For the Scriptures say,
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bend to me,
and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” - I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live!
- I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
- This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
- That is why the Lord says,
“Turn to me now, while there is time.
Give me your hearts.
Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” - He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
- “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
- Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign Lord. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.
- Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”Who is the King of glory?
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies—
he is the King of glory.
