When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”But He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.”
For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’
Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.
Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”And the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.”
But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil.But examine everything; hold firmly to that which is good, abstain from every form of evil.
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
“All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”Now then, do away with the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.
But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”But when Jesus heard this, He responded to him, “Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well.”
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.”And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.”
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”
And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.
Then God said, “Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.”Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you.”
Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing His garments among themselves.
Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”But Jesus said, “Leave the children alone, and do not forbid them to come to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
For the Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’For so the Lord has commanded us, ‘I have appointed You as a light to the Gentiles, That You may bring salvation to the end of the earth.’
Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”Paul said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”
Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.”While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set Barnabas and Saul apart for Me for the work to which I have called them.”
But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”

Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
