Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the leader of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.”So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the Lord!But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.
