Bible Verses about 'Say'
- Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
- What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- So we can confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?” - And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
- He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
- Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
- Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
- And you will say in that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord,
call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that his name is exalted.” - Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
- Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.”
- Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
- And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
- He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
- Take with you words
and return to the Lord;
say to him,
“Take away all iniquity;
accept what is good,
and we will pay with bulls
the vows of our lips.” - He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
- Woe to him who strives with him who formed him,
a pot among earthen pots!
Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
or ‘Your work has no handles’? - Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord God.
- Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
- It is a snare to say rashly, “It is holy,”
and to reflect only after making vows. - For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.” - Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
- What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
- Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
- Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
- Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
- So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am.
- For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
- For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
- Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
- But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
- But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.
- And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
- From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
- And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.
- Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” - Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
- Seek good, and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
as you have said.
