Bible Verses about 'Say'
- Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
- What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
- So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” - Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
- But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- Do not say,
“Why were the former days better than these?”
For you do not inquire wisely concerning this. - If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
- And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
- You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
- What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
- And in that day you will say:
“Praise the Lord, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.” - Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
- Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,
Before the difficult days come,
And the years draw near when you say,
“I have no pleasure in them” - O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.” - Take words with you,
And return to the Lord.
Say to Him,
“Take away all iniquity;
Receive us graciously,
For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.” - So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
- Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.”
- So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.”
- Woe to him who strives with his Maker!
Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth!
Shall the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
Or shall your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands’? - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.” - Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
- So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
- From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
- Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’
- For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
- What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
- Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
- But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.
- Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
- Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.
- Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
- For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
- But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
- But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
- You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
- For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
- And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
- And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
- Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!” - Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken. - It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy,
And afterward to reconsider his vows. - Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ”
