Bible Verses about 'Say'
- Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say: Rejoice!
- What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- Therefore, we can say with confidence:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?” - When they arrest you and bring you to trial, do not be concerned beforehand about what you are to say. Simply say whatever is given to you when that time comes, for it will not be you who speak but the Holy Spirit.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - “But you,” he said to them, “who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
- While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- But I say to you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
- Cure the sick who are there, and say, ‘The kingdom of God has come unto you.’
- Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Hence, I advise you to be guided by the Spirit, so that you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- Prepare in advance what you want to say,
and return to the Lord.
Say to him, “Take away all guilt
and give us what is good,
so that we may present as offerings
the bullocks from our stalls.” - And you will say on that day:
Give thanks to the Lord,
invoke his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted. - What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer?
- Remember your Creator in the days of your youth
before the bad times come
and the years draw near when you will say,
“I take no pleasure in them”. - Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who sins
is a slave of sin.” - The Lord is my portion, I say to myself;
therefore, I will place my hope in him. - Therefore, I say to you: ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
- He answered, “Because you have such little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith as tiny as a mustard seed, you will be able to say to this mountain: ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
- Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.”
- You who abide in the shelter of the Most High,
who rest in the shadow of the Almighty,
say to the Lord, “You are my refuge and my fortress,
my God in whom I place my trust.” - Do not assert that the past was better than the present,
for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom. - All you need to do is to say ‘Yes’ if you mean ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ if you mean ‘No.’ Anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
- But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
- For I, the Lord, am your God
and I grasp your right hand.
It is I who say to you,
Do not fear; I will help you.
