he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

- The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
- Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
- He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
- He that hath no rule over his own spirit
is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. - Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. - Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.
