| So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. | In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. |
| Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. | Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. |
| He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. |
