- Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord guards the city,
the guard keeps watch in vain. - Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.

feed me with the food that I need. - Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart;

See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - I sought the Lord, and he answered me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - Create in me a clean heart, O God,

- Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there will my servant be also. Whoever serves me, the Father will honor.
- And whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
- Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you.
- You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand has supported me;
your help has made me great.
You gave me a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip. - You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with glad cries of deliverance. Selah - If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm;
for love is strong as death,
passion fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
a raging flame. - Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they were over, he was famished.
- And you will say in that day:
Give thanks to the Lord,
call on his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted. - I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
- In you, O Lord, I seek refuge;
do not let me ever be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved;
for you are my praise. - Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your good spirit lead me
on a level path. - Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
