- Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.”
- May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.
- Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who sins
is a slave of sin.” - When they had finished their prayer, the place where they were gathered together shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and proclaimed the word of God fearlessly.
- Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road.
- And now, dear children,
abide in him,
so that when he appears
we may have confidence
and not be put to shame by him
at his coming. - Jesus replied,
“This is the work of God:
to believe in the one whom he has sent.” - For this reason, I rejoice when I endure weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and distress for the sake of Christ. For it is when I am weak that I am strong.
- Indeed, persecution will afflict all who want to lead a godly life in Christ Jesus.
- But for that very reason I was treated mercifully, so that in me Jesus Christ might exhibit his inexhaustible patience, making me an example for those who would come to believe in him for eternal life.
- But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The Lord makes a man’s steps secure
when he approves of his conduct. - Train a child in the way he should go,
and he will not deviate from it, even in old age. - Plans miscarry when counsel is lacking,
but they succeed when there are many counselors. - Who indeed conquers the world
except the one who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God? - Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
- God abides in anyone who acknowledges
that Jesus is the Son of God,
and that person abides in God. - Joseph therefore went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David. He went to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was expecting a child.
- They answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and so too will your household.”
- As long as I remained silent,
my body wasted away
as the result of my groaning throughout the day. - The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! - Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent. - For there is one God,
and there is one mediator between God and man,
Christ Jesus, himself a man. - When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the one who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
