Bible Verses about 'Sufficient'

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.
For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
“Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”
I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.
But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, and in this way announce God’s light to Jews and Gentiles alike. But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
