- Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to the Lord. - Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
- Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
- Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
- The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins,
even to give every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings. - Shew me thy ways, O Lord;
teach me thy paths. - For thou, O God, hast proved us:
thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. - But he knoweth the way that I take:
when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot hath held his steps,
his way have I kept, and not declined. - And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
- Remove far from me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me. - Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me. - As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
- I sought the Lord, and he heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
- And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
- If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
- Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
- If ye love me, keep my commandments.
- Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
- In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip. - And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day.And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God.Next verse!With image
