Thank you for your blessings (4/4)

  • You are my refuge and my shield;
    your word is my source of hope.
  • You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.
  • That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
  • Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
  • The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
  • But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
  • Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
  • Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.
  • Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws;
    our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.
  • And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.
  • My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline,
    and don’t be upset when he corrects you.
    For the Lord corrects those he loves,
    just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.
  • But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.
  • For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
  • But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!
  • For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
  • The Lord is my strength and shield.
    I trust him with all my heart.
    He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
    I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
  • For I hold you by your right hand—
    I, the Lord your God.
    And I say to you,
    ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’
  • The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
  • In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul.
    If you find it, you will have a bright future,
    and your hopes will not be cut short.
  • Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”
  • All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
  • So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
  • But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.
  • Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
  • In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
