- How can young people keep their way pure?
By guarding it according to your word. - For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
- Let the wicked forsake their way,
and the unrighteous their thoughts;
let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.
- Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
and the glory of children is their parents. - For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. - And steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord.
For you repay to all
according to their work. - For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show others that they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
- Those who keep the commandment will live;
those who are heedless of their ways will die. - It is well with those who deal generously and lend,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
and all their host by the breath of his mouth. - She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
- The heart is devious above all else;
it is perverse—
who can understand it?
I the Lord test the mind
and search the heart,
to give to all according to their ways,
according to the fruit of their doings. - For
“Those who desire life
and desire to see good days,
let them keep their tongues from evil
and their lips from speaking deceit;
let them turn away from evil and do good;
let them seek peace and pursue it.” - When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
- If you follow my statutes and keep my commandments and observe them faithfully, I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
- The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
- And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. - Even fools who keep silent are considered wise;
when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent. - When I fed them, they were satisfied;
they were satisfied, and their heart was proud;
therefore they forgot me. - When goods increase, those who eat them increase; and what gain has their owner but to see them with his eyes?
- But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
- Very truly, I tell you, servants are not greater than their master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them.
- Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
