- The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein. - There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death. - Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. - And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
- But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
- But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
- Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
- When goods increase,
They increase who eat them;
So what profit have the owners
Except to see them with their eyes? - As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.
- Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave;
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement flame. - Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.
- Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
- As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.
- There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
- No one is holy like the Lord,
For there is none besides You,
Nor is there any rock like our God. - Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
- Therefore You are great, O Lord God. For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- You are all fair, my love,
And there is no spot in you. - In all labor there is profit,
But idle chatter leads only to poverty. - Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. - For there is not a just man on earth who does good
And does not sin. - To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven. - And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
- For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. - Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
- For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
- You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
- Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. - For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
- There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
- Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
- There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling.
- For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
- There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. - For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
- Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
- A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
- There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
- Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
- Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
- Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
- Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.
- And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
- Yet I am the Lord your God
Ever since the land of Egypt,
And you shall know no God but Me;
For there is no savior besides Me.
