- The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! - He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and light dwells with him. - I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
- But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
- Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
- And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
- Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want.

- The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers.
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world.

- But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one.
- Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your ailment.” When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, “There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?” When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing.
- Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
- But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment.
